Book Cover

My book cover highlights the journey of delving into not only the layout but how to creatively hint the story without giving too much detail. The challenge lies in seamlessly merging typography and imagery, allowing the narrative to guide the application of design elements and principles. The cover was made using scrap papers that were written with flirty messages and fake numbers to hint the story. The photograph was then edited with proper lighting and shadows and finally, adding a colored background using Photoshop. All other text and titles were then included using Adobe Illustrator. Within the book cover, a fictional book company was made and a logo needed to be created, thus “Red Chair” was created through multiple discussions within the class.
